| Sona, The Healing Fountain is the guide for the build I've been using since day 1 Sona. It includes a couple of lesser used items that I believe are entirely underrated, but really add to Sonas effectiveness. Please rate and comment. Always looking for constructive criticism. |

| As a pretty avid Sona player, I almost always recommend getting an Aegis Of Legion. Sometime early too. It synergizes with your aura giving skills and helps with survivability and lets face it, Sona will ALWAYS get focused. Either that or the opposing team blows, in which case you don't even need any items.
Also, I'd push for Mejai as well. As Sona, it is incredibly easy to gain assists and playing right will result in few deaths, yielding quite a few stacks. Getting 10+ is pretty easy with a decent team. |

| Fair additions, and I think they are both mentioned.
I guess I assumed everyone played the way I did, and rarely got into situations they couldn't get out of. As far as Mejai goes, I don't like to rely on the possibility that I WON'T be spamming W and E during the team fights or even earlier. This build was kinda forged in Solo and then refined in Team so it assumes that you're going to play defensively until you're shown otherwise.
Aegis could be a regular addition in a game, but you'd be surprised just how much an early Innervating Locket decreases survivability as an issue. I haven't ever really been in a game where I said, "Damn. I need armor." Not saying you're wrong to suggest it, but as far as my guide has carried me, I haven't needed to use Aegis.
Appreciate the feedback though. If you have any more thoughts, please don't hesitate to post them. |

| Yea, I definitely agree!
I was against Innervating Locket originally, but I agree. An early locket is not only great for the HP, but the buff really helps your lanemate.
I'll try out your build first before further comments.
Have you ever considered spirit visage btw?
It's really something interesting. Cheap, CDR and makes capitalizes on the fact that your W will always heal you. |

| Ya know. I actually just recently thought about that one. I haven't been able to play a game in like a week, so I've just been theory crafting. Spirit Visage is definately one that I'm going to have to try.
And lets not forget about lockets "Cast 4 spells, get one free" with Sona. Lol. |
