| rock, Mostly because 'rap' is an offensive demeaning form of verbal abuse aimed at spreading idiocracy and the misconseption that its cool to be 'gangsta'. Also because rock 'rocks'. Its in the name. I dont know the difference between genres, But I'm pretty sure Green Carnatians 'light of day, day of darkness' was rock. It was an hour and six seconds long (60:06) and was all about the balance and mirrorness of things. Its hard to explain atm cuz im tired as shit but i love the hell outta that song, And I used to be able to judge time at work because i'd have it on repeat. Not sure what protomen, ayreon, and the antlers would be considered as, but i really enjoy albums that tell a story, all three artists are awesom examples of people that did it right. So yea, Rock > rap, However i do like RnB wich borrows fast lyrics from rap, while putting it into actual music. I think im just all about the backround music | |

| Im gonna have to go with rap even though I like rock equally. Theres just more songs I like in the rap genre than I do in rock. Also as I recall rock can be just as offensive too but thats what makes it great. | |

| lol listen to like rock from the older periods they were about sleeping around and drugs and women, and parying which is one reason rap is so offensive swearing is only part of it. | |

| Exactly. It talks about sleeping with women and drugs and various other content that may not say "boats and hoes" which can also be offensive. Whether it's not to me and you it can still be offensive to others. My point is they both have their share in offensive lyrics and etc. Plus not all rap was used with offensive language. Look up Will Smith, MC Breed and theres a few others. | |
